Happy Monday, gorgeous! Today I am so beyond excited to be celebrating 10,000 followers on Instagram! Seriously… so excited!
I am so grateful for each and every one of you supporting me doing something I love and something that makes me happy. I always want my followers to feel like they know me on a personal level, so in celebration of 10k I’m sharing 10 things you may not already know about me.
#1 – I am a Las Vegas native. I have never lived anywhere else besides Vegas… And to be honest I don’t know if I’d want to! Yeah, the summers get a little hot but overall I love it here.
#2 – I am a baby fanatic. Seriously I LOVE babies and kids. They are just so sweet and innocent. Whenever there is a baby around, I literally can’t contain myself… I have to ask to hold it!
#3 – I have MAJOR wanderlust, but have never been out of the country. I travel vicariously through my Pinterest travel board. I am really busy right now with school, but once I graduate a few places I am dying to go to are Bora Bora and Santorini, Greece.
#4 – I love having a busy schedule. There was a point in high school when I was working 2 jobs and going to school at the same time. This wasn’t because I needed to, it was because I wanted to. From the moment I turned 16 I was working. This is actually my last week working before I start nursing school on Monday, so I am a little nervous!
#5 – I am going to school to be a labor and delivery nurse. This kind of ties in with my love of babies and kids. When I graduated high school I started going to school to be a physical therapist. I worked at a therapy office and loved working with patients, but knew I would rather work with babies and kids. After taking 2 years worth of classes I decided I wanted to switch my major to nursing, so I did just that. I am SO excited and really nervous to be starting the actual nursing program on Monday.
#6 – I want to be a stay at home mom. Ok so I know I just said I love having a busy schedule and working, but once I have kids I want to stay home with them. My ultimate goal is to be a full time mommy and a blogger. And then maybe working part time as a nurse. Once I have kids, I don’t want to miss a single moment with them!
#7 – The hardest thing I have EVER been through was losing my grandma. This is a little more personal than anything I’ve ever shared, but the whole point of this post is for you to get to know me more personally. Growing up, my grandma was there with us every day. She was the one who would do my hair, take me to school, pick me up, take me to dance practice… She did it all. It has been a year now since she has passed, and I miss her deeply. Not a day goes by without me thinking about her. My grandma taught me to always be strong, stick up for myself and to never rely on a man. She had a huge role in raising me, and I will never forget the things she taught me. I love you grammy!
#8 -I’m not married, but I met “the one” in high school. You may have seen pictures of him on my Instagram. His name is Jonathan and we started dating when I was just a sophomore in high school. He is the man behind the camera for most of my blog pictures and can definitely relate to all of you #instagramhusbands. I am so grateful for him and his constant encouragement to follow my dreams.
#9 – My family truly means the world me. I grew up with a super duper close family (including grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and cousins). We are all a little crazy, but what family is normal? My favorite events are ones that my whole family will be at. Spending time with them is so much fun and I never want it to end. I love my family so much and I would be so lost without them.
#10 – I have found a true passion blogging. When I first started blogging it was mainly just for a hobby. I honestly didn’t expect it to turn into something I can NEVER give up. I love being able to share this passion with others and I am so beyond grateful for all the amazing people I’ve met. If you would have asked me a year ago if it was possible to create best friends online I would say no. But now I would say yes. Some of my absolute besties are those that I met through blogging.
I hope you all feel like you know a little more about me now. I wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU for following along and supporting my dreams.
Now I would love to learn something about you! Comment one thing about yourself in the comments!
Sending tons and tons of love to you all! <3
